At Lingofe plantations we believe that a twelve years old should not be left alone to fend for his life. A society that normalises this situation encourages a systematic destruction of many children’s ability to fulfil their potentials. We have been through this society and would like to ensure that we make a contribution to alleviate the permanence of this situation by providing funding to :
Secondary school education:
We will start by selecting a group of children, provide them with accommodation, with food and pay their secondary school fees. We will ensure that there is an adult in place to follow up these children lives in Basankusu. We were left alone to fend for ourselves and would like to bring this injustice to an end.
University school education
University education should not be for the elite and privileged only. It should be accessible to every child depending on their ability and not their family’s background. In Basankusu, poverty stricken children can not go to Mbandaka nor Kinshasa to study at Universities. In our later stage of funding, we aim to provide direct intervention in terms of loans to student who want to do further education.
Most important and challenging facts about this project
As this is a charitable part of our project, it is completely dependent on the performance of our the sales of our palm oil. We are under a tight deadline to complete all the background works so that we have our first student enrolled in the scheme and start secondary school by September 2022.
You can fund this project by donating to Lingofe Education.
